Fabrications

A deepdive into how to care for your products based on their material. Sustainable and longwearing pieces are important, so it is essential to know how to care for the different fabrics.

LINEN

When summer comes, watch all of our items be made in linen. It is breathable, strong and durable, it only gets better over time!

How to care: To care for linen properly, wash it in cold or on a gentle cycle using a mild, natural detergent. Avoid bleach, as it can weaken the fibres. After washing, air drying is best (it may be best to avoid a dryer if you love the size of your pieces - I have learnt the hard way). Over time, linen softens with each wash, making it even more comfortable and luxurious.

COTTON

If it is not linen, its probably cotton! One of the best natural fibres, that is soft, breathable and durable, and it comes in just about any fabric you can think of!

How to care: A wash in cold and gentle machine wash with like colours, air drying is best to maintain its quality (tbh I just avoid a tumble dryer where possible). Iron on a medium setting while the fabric is slightly damp to remove wrinkles. With proper care, cotton remains soft, durable, and comfortable over time.

GARBADINE TWILL

Another beautiful cotton moment, but make it water repellent. It is durable, crease resistant and smooth - you are going to want everything made in this fabric once you feel it!

How to care: Spot clean where necessary with a gentle washing liquid, to preserve the colour and feel. Ideally, when it needs a clean take it to the dry cleaner!
